Google launches 4-inch contoured display Nexus S running Gingerbread (Android 2.3). The phone sports an NFC (Near Field Communications) chip, a 1GHz Humingbird processor and 16GB of internal memory. The phone was co-developed with Samsung (HTC missed this one). The phone’s screen is its most unique feature yet. The 4-inch screen is contoured so that it fits “…comfortably in the palm of your hand and along the side of your face.”

The phone will available in-store from Best Buy and online from T-Mobile (locked and unlocked) after December 20. Gingerbread will be open-sourced in the next couple of weeks. Do you think this will be another Nexus One?
