If you downloaded the beta version of FaceTime for Mac’s last year, you may want to head over to the App store to download the final version of Apple’s video chat application. The official FaceTime App will set you back $0.99, but you will be able to run the latest/stable version of the application to make free FaceTime calls to other FaceTime enabled devices including iPhones, iPod’s and the soon to be updated iPad.
I would have thought that this would be a free application that would be included with every Mac, much like Photo Booth and others, but it looks like Apple wants to make a little extra money here, I don’t blame them, but it doesn’t mean it’s right. What do you think?
I haven’t seen anything about the beta expiring so I will hold onto it for as long as I can.
